To make your visit to the Museum and Symposium as pleasant as possible, here are a few rules to observe:
The upper floors of the Jacques-Saint-Gelais-Tremblay Pavilion at the MACBSP, where the Symposium takes place, are not accessible to people with reduced mobility. To access the workshops on those floors, visitors must climb a staircase with 50 steps. This pavilion is not equipped with an elevator. However, one artist’s studio on the ground floor is accessible. In addition, the creative workshops held in collaboration with Symposium artists at the Placette Desjardins are accessible to all. The Symposium’s outdoor sites (Maison Mère and Baie-Saint-Paul Hospital) are also accessible to people with reduced mobility.
However, the Musée d'art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul meets the requirements of the Quebec organization Kéroul, whose actions aim to make tourism and culture accessible to people with restricted physical ability. Wheelchair access is available at the front and side of the building. The exhibition rooms and toilets are also adapted. An elevator is also available to visit exhibitions on the second floor and in the basement.
Free parking is available at the Musée d'art contemporain and on nearby streets.
Coaches can drop off their passengers in the Musée d'art contemporain parking lot or in the church parking lot just across the street.
