Claire Savoie started Aujourd’hui in 2006. It comprises short video clips that she produces daily. It documents the fleeting and unstable nature of the present moment. She will present excerpts from the series.

Presentation of the Jean-Claude Rochefort scholarship
The scholarship honours the memory of art critic Jean-Claude Rochefort who was from Charlevoix. It is offered by the UQAM foundation to a graduate student in art history. He or she will be invited to present an overview of his or her work.

La Morue, a performance by Diane Landry
For La Morue, Diane Landry places household objects on turntables on which shines lateral lighting. The projected shadows perform choreography of kinetic photograms that are strangely poetic.

Lecture by Patrice Loubier (in French)
Patrice Loubier is an art critic and historian who teaches at UQAM since 2009. Entitled Au ras du quotidien: la vie oeuvrée, his lecture will deal with the approach of artists whose everyday becomes a place for self-invention.

Presentation of the movie entitled Un 30 mai ici-bas. Producer Fabien Deglise will be present.
Reporter, columnist and blogger for Le Devoir, Fabien Deglise conceived this participative documentary and invited people across Québec to do a 15 t0 30-second video recording of their everyday on May 30, 2014.
Sunday, August 30
– 3:00 p.m. – Closing event
To close the 33rd Symposium, artistic director Marie Perrault will invite de public to join a commented tour of the twelve work areas of the guest artists. (in French)

Klima, a playful presentation by the Ample Man Danes ensemble will be preceded during the afternoon by ad lib performances in Baie-Saint-Paul’s rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste.
